Beyond the Class 10 & 12 board Sample Papers, CBSE (through cbseacademic.nic.in) also publishes official Competency-Based Education (CBE) practice materials for Classes 6–10 in Maths, Science and English. These are different from board sample papers — they’re formative practice/diagnostic test items aligned to the NCERT curriculum, useful for building exam-style question familiarity at every class level, not just the board years.
What These Resources Are (and Aren’t)
These are not board exam sample papers — Classes 6–9 and 11 don’t have board exams, so CBSE doesn’t issue board-pattern SQPs for them (see our CBSE Sample Papers page for the Class 10 & 12 board papers). What CBSE does publish for Classes 6–10 is competency-based test items — developed with organisations like Sri Aurobindo Society, ACER and the British Council — designed to build the kind of applied, competency-based question-answering skill that both classroom assessments and (eventually) board exams increasingly use.

No. Board Sample Question Papers exist only for Class 10 and Class 12 (see our CBSE Sample Papers page). These CBE materials are competency-based formative practice items CBSE publishes for Classes 6-10, useful for building applied-question skills at any class level.
