About NCERTBooks.org
NCERTBooks.org exists for one reason: every student in India should be able to find and study from their official NCERT textbooks without hunting across broken links, paywalls, or unreliable file-sharing sites. We organise NCERT textbooks for Class 1 through Class 12 by class and subject, verify our links against official sources, and build tools -- like our in-browser PDF reader with chapter navigation and highlighting -- that make studying genuinely easier, not just possible.
What We Do
- Organise official NCERT textbooks by class (1-12) and subject, with a searchable, filterable catalog
- Build and maintain a free in-browser reader with page navigation, zoom, search, and text highlighting
- Publish guides on how to use NCERT books effectively for board exams, JEE, NEET, and Open Link in New Tab
- Keep content updated as NCERT revises its curriculum and textbook editions
What We Are Not
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to NCERT, CBSE, or the Ministry of Education. We do not claim authorship of NCERT's textbook content -- that credit belongs entirely to NCERT and the subject experts who write and review it. Our job is organisation, accessibility, and building better tools around publicly available educational material, not creating or owning that material.
Who Runs This Site
NCERTBooks.org is maintained by a small, independent team. We review our own guides against the current NCERT syllabus before publishing, and we correct errors quickly when readers point them out. If you find a broken link, an outdated edition, or anything that looks wrong, our Contact page goes directly to our team, not a support queue.
Our Standards
We link to or host NCERT textbook PDFs only where we can verify the source is legitimate and the file matches the current, officially prescribed edition. Where we are not confident in a source, we link out to NCERT's own official portal instead of guessing. We would rather send you to the right place than host something we cannot vouch for.
We are not affiliated with NCERT or the Ministry of Education. We simply link to and host publicly available educational material so students, parents, and teachers can find what they need faster.
