What’s in the Class 3 Hindi NCERT Book (2026-27 Edition)
Poems include Cheenti and Baya Hamari Chidiya Rani; stories include Beerbal Ki Khichdi and Chatur Girdhar; the book also includes Pedon Ki Amma Thimakka, a real-life-inspired piece about an environmentalist, and Hum Anek Kintu Ek on national unity.
Study Tip
Beerbal Ki Khichdi and Chatur Girdhar both use cleverness/wit as their central theme — ask the child what lesson the clever character teaches, a simple way to build comprehension beyond just retelling the plot.
