What this chapter teaches.
Times tables from 11 to 20; multiplying by 10, 20, 50, and 100 (a useful shortcut: multiply by the non-zero part, then add the zeros); dividing with and without a remainder; and applying multiplication/division to transport word problems (like how many people fit in several buses, or how many coaches are needed for a group).

Activity 1 — Bus Seating.
Given the number of seats per bus and the number of buses, children multiply to find the total number of people that can travel.

Activity 2 — How Many Coaches?
Given a total number of passengers and the capacity of each coach, children divide to find how many coaches are needed (rounding up if there’s a remainder, since a partly-full coach is still needed).

Activity 3 — Quick Multiply by 10/20/50/100.
Children practise the shortcut of multiplying by the non-zero digit first, then adding the right number of zeros (for example, 7 × 20 = 7 × 2 × 10 = 140).
